We LOVE a good tablescape — especially one with beautiful water views like this one at 410 Safe Harbour, Newport overlooking a quiet creek off of the Intracoastal Waterway.
Our Interior Designer & Stager, Pleasants Higgs, worked with Morehead City shopping staple, Ginny Gordon's, to design an intimate tablescape for four in this gorgeous sunroom! Here are some tips to help you design a tablescape of your own (that will make your friends think a professional did it!) —
LAYERS
We love to utilize multiple chargers to add texture and color to a table! Check out how Pleasants layered these woven seagrass chargers on top of leathered red to add interest and a pop of color!
PATTERNS
Polish pottery is a staple at Ginny Gordon's! The classic blues and whites of Polish pottery are the perfect coastal complement, and we love how this particular plate set incorporates the same red as the chargers!
Pleasants also mixed and matched the Polish pottery pattern with a bigger geometric pattern of the napkins!
TIP: When mixing patterns, choose one small and one large pattern so it's easier on the eyes!
DETAILS
Don't skimp the details! If your table is small enough that a centerpiece would be in the way, opt for keeping it empty so there's room for appetizers (like this adorable bread basket!).
Tie it all together with a complementing silverware set, napkin rings, and glasses!
