That's why, for the third quarter of 2025, MCKRE Gives is thrilled to partner with the North Carolina Aquarium Society in support of one of our community's true treasures: the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium.
Nestled along the beautiful Crystal Coast, the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium is more than just a destination—it's a vital hub for conservation, education, and hands-on wonder for guests of all ages. From exploring the depths of the Living Shipwreck exhibit to learning about the coastal ecosystems that make our region so special, the Aquarium brings people closer to the marine world in unforgettable ways.
And now, something even more exciting is on the horizon.
The Aquarium has recently received a $500,000 matching gift challenge from the Ven and Lisa Poole Family, an incredibly generous donation aimed at creating new, interactive touch habitats. These innovative exhibits will invite guests to connect with aquatic life in a whole new way—offering hands-on experiences that foster curiosity, respect, and love for our oceans and waterways.
