Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

By: Mary Cheatham King / 30 Sep 2024

With so many ways our community is stepping up to help our neighbors in Western NC, we're gathering them all so you can have them in one place to keep everyone updated on how best they can give back.

Whether it's with supplies or a cash donation to help folks in need, scroll through to see what we've put together so far on how to give back from Eastern NC (we even included some Triangle areas for our followers in the central part of the state!).

Thank you to everyone who has shown their support, we are so grateful to be surrounded by such big hearts for our community and beyond. Our prayers to go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Helene.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

World Central Kitchen - visit wck.volunteerhub.com for volunteer opportunities around the southeast.

Email helenedonations@buncombecounty.org to assist with relief efforts.

FINANCIAL DONATIONS:
UPDATE AS OF 10/10: There has been an overwhelming amount of physical donations coming into WNC, so financial donations are even more appreciated so folks can start to rebuild. See below for an entire list of local organizations and ways you can donate:

Per Jeff Stewart, a friend of MCKRE and the Operating Principal at Broker Asheville, a Keller Williams affiliate. Those affected are overwhelmed with physical donations. They are in need of monetary donations for their changing needs. The GoFundMe link provided will go towards the current need for space heaters and warm clothes for those affected.
