Crystal Coast Christmas Shopping Guide

By: Mary Cheatham King / 04 Dec 2024

The countdown to Christmas is on! With less than a month until the big day, we know everyone is busy checking off items on their Christmas shopping list. With all of this shopping comes the perfect opportunity to shop local!

We've asked a handful of 12 wonderful Crystal Coast locals to share what they think would make a great Christmas gift – and we are thrilled to share them here daily with YOU!

DAY ONE | GIFTS FOR THE HOSTESS
Stacie Mieslohn - Owner of Calypso Cottage | 324 Orange Street, Beaufort

1. Marshallberg Farm Caviar — For a spectacular holiday treat, caviar from local Marshallberg Farms is delectable and high quality for your holiday party! Plus, they use sustainable aquaculture practices you can feel good about. Special order your tin of caviar through Calypso Cottage this holiday season!

2️. Lauren Perrier Champagne from Calypso Cottage — Choose from their elegant and balanced Grand Siecle Vintage Brut or the Cuvèe Rosé now through December 20th. The perfect accompaniment to Marshallberg Caviar!

3️. Mesa Solo Stove from Beaufort Ace Home — This indoor or outdoor tabletop fire pit pairs perfectly with a box of Pine Mountain small fatwood sticks. Ask for Mickey!

DAY FOUR | GIFTS FOR THE FITNESS GURU
Heidi + David Tucker, Owners of Blue Ocean Market • 2400 Bridges Street, Morehead City

3. Cast net from Chasin' Tails Outdoors - The first thing any fisherman needs is bait. We taught our boys at a young age how to throw a cast net - starting with a 5' and progressing toward the 12' we use now - and it has led to many successful fishing trips.

2. For the special person in your life who adores gifts that you can drink (aka me), the monthly wine club at Promise Land Market certainly overdelivers!! It includes two bottles a month for you to enjoy with no hassles of having to think about what you're going to drink, AND you learn about new wines from all over the world.

3. One of the best presents in my opinion is a gift certificate, especially one that has coffee, beer, wine, chocolate and ice cream. Cru Wine Bar is that place, and it is truly one of my happy places in Carteret County. From game night on Mondays to Saturday and Sunday morning breakfasts to a fantastic wine retail shop, I am a total fangirl.
