#OneGoodThing – Last week, we told you about Captain Tom Moore, the British war veteran who decided to raise money for the National Health Service after he had fallen and broken his hip. He was so impressed with the treatment he received, he decided to raise $1,250 for the folks on the front lines of the NHS fighting COVID-19. He raised $9 million last week, and this week, he’s raised over $33 million!!

When he wanted to raise money for the U.K.’s National Health Services, he decided he would raise $1,250 by walking 100 laps in his backyard garden before his 100th birthday! Y’all – he has raised $9 million from more than 347,000 donations! This money will go to help staff, volunteers and patients of COVID-19 and he has plans to continue his fundraising efforts. #OneGoodThing – We’ve been tracking the numbers for each week, and last week we told you that the amount of homes that went under contract in Carteret County was 37% higher than the week before! This week, we saw the same amount of homes go under contract as last week – that’s 44 homes that went pending in Carteret County. Everyone is pivoting their strategies in order to put safety precautions in place meaning a lot of homes have been going under contract without being seen in person! This is thanks to agents utilizing FaceTime showings and virtual walkthroughs – buyers are confident and still moving forward, which is great to see!

#OneGoodThing – Thanks to you, we have some wonderful news to share! We launched our Letters of Love campaign last week where we asked you to send letters of positivity to the folks at Carteret Landing Assisted Living. The staff held onto these letters until they had enough for each resident. Well, this week they were able to deliver your Letters of Love – that’s over 70 letters! Carteret Landing is still receiving them daily and we just love seeing the smiles on the faces of these residents. Thank you all for taking the time out of your day to spread some joy and thank you to the staff at Carteret Landing for both safely distributing the letters AND working hard each day to keep these residents healthy and encouraged!
