Next Big Thing: The Simplified Island
We’ve taken a look at how businesses have grown over the past decade, and now we want to look forward to the next ten. We are so excited to spread the good news of The Simplified Island, helping busy families simplify and organize their homes utilizing the KonMari Method™. Y’all, we have our own Marie Kondo-inspired organization solution right here in Carteret County. We are too excited – meet Caroline below!

The practice of clearing out and cleaning up can be cathartic, a do-over, even a re-birth! Purging the unnecessary, unused or unwanted is ridding yourself of the past and making way for a future featuring the ideal and unencumbered you. Followers of Marie Kondo know that the magic of Tidying Up is real and life changing.
Here in Carteret County we have our very own KonMari™️ Consultant Trainee, Caroline Roberts, who has just started her own business: The Simplified Island. Caroline knows that getting rid of stuff is important, and she understands that it is a very personal and empowering journey. She stresses, too, that there is patience and grace behind it all. The first step, Caroline says, is to identify the vision you have for yourself by asking where you want your life to go and what makes you happy. “Forget the shoulds!” she explains. She elaborates on the clearing out process this way, saying, “focus on what you would like to carry forward into the life you want to lead.”
Caroline is a guide. She can help those who choose to walk the KonMari™ path to depend less on the external and be more fulfilled by the internal. By being purposeful and selective with what we buy and bring into our homes—and curating what we do have, genuine happiness can be more accessible than ever.
