Q1: What is your mission statement?
A1: “To introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith.”
Q2: What services does your organization provide?
A2: “We provide a holistic and faith based mentorship experience for high school students. Our adult leaders volunteer in various ways on school campuses, host bible studies, meet individually with students to talk about their lives, and host fun events throughout the week that incorporate a gospel message.”
Q3: What are some of the best ways for someone to support your organization?
A3: “Prayer, financially, being advocates in the community, being a volunteer leader, being a committee member, and providing meals for our night time bible studies.”
Q4: What is one thing that folks might not know about your organization?
A4: “We in young life our missionary mentors to high school students. We value the idea of earning the right to be heard in the lives of kids through building unconditional friendships long before we ever introduce them to young life events. We believe that kids don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care about them.”
Q5: Who is someone in your organization that you’d like to recognize for their hard work?
A5: “We’d love to recognize Annie Bolick. She is one of our volunteer leaders. She is a full time college student, works a part time job and still finds a way to give so much of her time towards investing in the lives of her high school friends.”
Q6: What do you love most about being a non-profit organization in Carteret County?
A6: “Our community cares about the kids that live here.”
