Q1: What is your mission statement?
A1: “To protect, shelter and promote the adoption of homeless animals; To provide education about responsible pet ownership and reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.”
Q2: What services does your organization provide?
A2: “We provide adoptable dogs, cats, and other animals to the public. We also house stray animals while waiting for their owners to reclaim them.”
They also provide:
- Free pet food to the public, as needed
- Reduced fee vouchers to the public for volunteering
Q3: What are some of the best ways for someone to support your organization?
A3: “Adopting a new pet, donating items we need on a regular basic, volunteering, and fostering.”
Q4: What is one thing that folks might not know about your organization?
A4: “We are taking care our animals 365 days a year, rain, snow or shine. We care for each animal as if it is our own and we would love for you to come out and see what it is all about.”
Q5: Who is someone in your organization that you’d like to recognize for their hard work?
A5: “Not one person in particular but our regular volunteers who commit every week to come out and help us by cleaning and/or walking our dogs. It helps with the dogs physical and mental care which makes them more adoptable!”
Q6: What do you love most about being a non-profit organization in Carteret County?
A6: “We love being able to find the community their new pet. Watching them fall in love with an animal and taking them home to be loved the way the animal deserves!”
