What’s better than baseball, beer, and balmy summer nights? We can’t think of anything!
If you’re looking for a perfect summer evening activity, head over to Big Rock Stadium, home to Morehead City’s summer baseball league: The MHC Marlins! This league consists of college athletes looking to improve their skills over the summer (and have fun while doing it!). In order to #curate the best possible experience for you, your friends, and your family, we’ve compiled all the must-have information to get the most out of your Marlins’ game experience.
Where do I park?
You can access the stadium from either side of Mayberry Loop Road. See the map below for where to park and enter the stadium.
Where should I sit?
Tickets are general admission, and fans are able to cheer from the stands, hang out near the beer garden or wander around the stadium checking out vendors!
What should I eat?
Be sure to grab a bag of regular, caramel, or cinnamon kettle corn (or cajun peanuts!) from local vendor, Crystal Coast Kettle Corn! The stadium also sells classic baseball game concessions like hot dogs, hamburgers, and soft pretzels (YUM!).
What should I drink?
Walk over to the Miller Lite Beer Garden, located on the far side of the stadium, to grab an ice cold beverage. We recommend trying the famous “Marlins Juice,” which consists of ½ Blue Moon & ½ Leinenkugel Summer Shandy!
What should I wear?
Die-hard Marlins fans will represent the team by wearing Marlins merch! T-shirts, hats, and more are for sale at Big Rock Stadium during game time. In the hot summer months, it’s crucial to dress for the warm weather in order to stay cool. Our team opts for a flowy sundress or a tank top and shorts paired with a baseball cap!
Be sure to come out and support this talented group of athletes this summer and for many summers to come! Visit the MHC Marlins website to purchase tickets, see the summer schedule and more. Go Marlins!
