Beaufort is blossoming!
written by Landie Canfield
Sometimes it’s the little things that can make a huge impact. Spontaneous smiles from passersby, flawless, sunny summer days, or that first, hot sip of coffee so early in the morning. If you’re anything like Jennifer Wuester of Beaufort in Bloom, lush and fragrant petals of a peony, her favorite flower, might be one of those little things that brings you happiness. She loves, too, how each one, like the person who chooses it, is utterly unique and perfectly imperfect!
At Beaufort in Bloom, guests hand pick flowers from a literal boat(load) filled with buckets of specialty buds, blooms and stems from all over the world. Jennifer caters to Carteret County folks who love to host private parties and fancy dinners or moms who want to make sweet bouquets for their daughters who say “I do”. Of course there are those who simply pop by the shop with a treasured and time-worn vase, who mix and match blooms in various shades and shapes, colors and sizes to their hearts’ content. Jennifer delights in seeing her flowers “bring new life to old memories” in those jars and jugs and vases and the overwhelming outpouring of love and good spirit from the folks that enter her doors. Many of them who buy her blooms “just because”.
These delightful flowers and arrangements can be custom-ordered, too, and found all around town from local shops and restaurants to bed & breakfasts, cozy kitchen nooks and bike baskets cruising down Front Street. The fresh flowers are a bright light and a dose of color to friends and neighbors in need of good cheer. Thank you, Jennifer for blossoming so beautifully right here on our Carolina coast!
